One of the goals of the iPhone application is “don’t make the tech’s job harder than it already is”. For example, don’t make them type – give them options to select.

A full blown web application

Dispatcher actually ‘sits behind’ your own website (which we provide for free). It uses Google maps to plot the locations of the techs. Dispatcher can see, at a glance, where techs are, how far from the location they are and where they have been.
